Lake Balkhash

                 Lake Balkhash (Балқаш Көлі, Balqaş köli, Озеро Балхаш) is one of the largest lakes in Asia and 13th largest continental lake in the world. It is located in southeastern Kazakhstan, in Central Asia, and belongs to an endorheic (closed) basin shared by Kazakhstan and China, with a small part in Kyrgyzstan. These rivers are: Ili, Karatal, Aksu, Lepsi, Byan, Kapal, Koksu. The lake currently covers 16,400 km2 (6,300 sq mi), but, like the Aral Sea, it is shrinking because of the diversion of water from the rivers that feed it. 
                 Lake Balkhash had 3 islands (Basaran, Ortaaral, Tasaral), 5 peninsulas (Saryesik, Baygabyl, Balai, Shaukar, Kentubek) and 2 bays (Shempek and Saryshagan). Saryesik Peninsula, located near the middle of the lake, hydrographically divides it into two very different parts. The western part, which comprises 58% of the total lake area and 46% of its volume, is relatively shallow, quiet and is filled with freshwater, whereas the eastern part is much deeper and saltier. These parts are connected by the Strait Uzynaral (Ұзынарал).

Karaganda

                 Karaganda (Karagandy, Қарағанды, Караганда), is the capital of Karagandy Province in Kazakhstan. It is the fourth most populous city in Kazakhstan, behind Almaty (Alma-Ata), Astana and Shymkent. It had a population of 459,778.

Tengiz lake

            Tengiz lake (Теңіз көлі, Тенгиз озеро) is a saline lake in north-central part of Kazakhstan. Lake Tengiz is an important wetland site for birds. It ia a part of a Ramsar wetland site of international importance, "Tengiz-Korgalzhyn Lake System". 318 species of birds have been recorded at Lake Tengiz, 22 of which are endangered.
            It is fed by the Nura and Kulanutpes rivers, and its level is subject to sharp fluctuations. The shore is mostly low lying and clayey, and along the jagged eastern shore are several islands. The lake is the most northerly habitat of the pink flamingo, and its brine is rich in the mineral mirabilite (hydrated sodium sulfate).

Belukha mountain

                Belukha Mountain (Russian: Белуха) located in the Katun Mountains (Катунь) , is the highest peak of the Altay Mountains (Алтайские горы) in Russia. It is part of the World Heritage Site entitled Golden Mountains of Altai.

                Belukha is a twin-peaked mountain massif that rises along the border of Russia and Kazakhstan, just north of the point where these two borders meet those of China and Mongolia. Of the two peaks, the eastern peak (4,506 m, 14,784 ft.) is higher than the western peak (4,440 m, 14,567 ft.).
                The climate is harsh with long cold winters and short summers with rain and snow. The average July temperature in the valleys in the timber 8.3 degrees C (Akkem weather station), and the plateau-like tops of 6.3 degrees C (weather Karatyurek). Summer at the top of Belugas are not rare frosts down to -20 degrees C. Adverse winter temperatures occur in January to -48 degrees C and remained low even in March to - 5 degrees C. The temperature inversions are common.

Almaty Алматы

            Almaty (Alma Ata or Алматы) is the former capital of Kazakhstan and the nation's largest city, with a population of 1,348,500 (at 1 September 2008). This represents approximately 9% of the country's population. The new General Plan of Almaty for 2030 was developed in 1998 and aims at creating ecologically safe, secure, and socially comfortable living conditions in the city. The main objective is to promote Almaty’s image as a garden-city. Almaty was the capital of the Kazakh SSR from 1929 to 1991 and of independent Kazakhstan from 1991 to 1997.

           The main objectives are Zenkov Cathedral (Вознесенский собор - Ascension Cathedraland) The Central Mosque of Almaty.
