Zard-Kuh
("Yellow Mountain", Zard-e Kuh-e Bakhtiari, زردكوه بختياري) is a mountain in the central Zagros Range, Iran. With an elevation of 4548 meters is the highest mountain in the Zagros Mountains. It is located near the city Kuhrang in the Iranian province of Chahar Mahal and Bachtiyārī. The Karun and also Zayanderud rivers start in the Zagros mountains near the Zardkuh.

Shiraz
Shiraz (شیراز) is the sixth most populous city of Iran and the capital of Fars Province. In 2009 the population of the city was 1,455,073. A seasonal river, Rudkhaneye Khoshk, flows through the northern part of the city and on into Maharloo Lake.

Urmia lake
Urmia lake (Daryache-ye Orumiye دریاچه ارومیه, ուրմիա լիճ, Urmiya gölü) is a salt lake in northwestern Iran, near Iran's border with Turkey. The lake is between the Iranian provinces of East Azerbaijan and West Azerbaijan, west of the southern portion of the similarly shaped Caspian Sea. It is the largest lake in the Middle East, and the third largest salt water lake on earth, with a surface area of approximately 5,200 km² (2,000 mile²), 140 km (87 mi) length, 55 km (34 mi) width, and 16 m (52 ft) depth. The largest island is Shahi Island. The smallest is Osman fist.

Dasht-e Kavir
Dasht-e Kavir (دشت كوير , Kavir-e Namak or Great Salt Desert) is a large desert lying in the middle of the Iranian plateau. It is about 800 kilometers (497 mi) long and 320 kilometers (198 mi) wide with a total surface area of about 77,600 square kilometers (~30,000 mi²), making it the Earth's 23rd largest desert. It is named after the salt marshes (kavirs) located there.
The Dasht-e Kavir's climate is almost rainless and the area is very arid. Temperatures can reach 50 °C in summer, and the average temperature in January is 22 °C. Day and night temperatures during a year can differ up to 70 °C. Rain usually falls in winter. Some parts of Dasht- e Kavir have a more steppe-like appearance.

Hamun-e Helmand lake
Hāmūn-e Helmand (also known as Hāmūn-e Hīrmand, “Lake Hāmūn”, Hamoun Oasis, Persian: دریاچه هامون Daryācheh-ye Hāmūn or Daryācheh-ye Sīstān (“Lake Sīstān”) is a shallow, marshy, lake (or lagoon) or hāmūn located in eastern Iran, near the Afghanistan border. It is fed by the Helmand River, which starts in the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan.
