Shiraz

               Shiraz (شیراز) is the sixth most populous city of Iran and the capital of Fars Province. In 2009 the population of the city was 1,455,073. A seasonal river, Rudkhaneye Khoshk, flows through the northern part of the city and on into Maharloo Lake. 
               The main landmarks of Shiraz are: Eram Garden (باغ ارم‎), Qavam House (باغ نارنجستان قوام), Arg of Karim Khan (ارگ کريمخاني), Tomb of Hafez (حافظیه), Tomb of Saadi, Qur'an Gate (دروازه قرآن), Vakil Bazaar (بازار وکیل), Persian Gulf Complex (Fars Shopping Complex, مجتمع خلیج فارس), Atigh Jame' Mosque (مسجد جامع عتیق), Vakil Mosque ( مسجد وکیل), Nasir al-Mulk Mosque (مسجد نصیر الملك), Zinat-ol-Molook House, Afif-Abad Garden (باغ عفیف آباد), Eram Tower, Shiraz TV Tower, Chamran Grand Hotel (هتل چمران شیراز), Shiraz University.
