Sava river

          The Sava (Река Сава) is a river in Southeast Europe, a right side tributary of the Danube river discharging in Belgrade. It is 990 kilometres (615 miles) long. Sava River is formed of the Sava Dolinka and the Sava Bohinjka headwaters. The Sava Dolinka rises at the Zelenci Pools near Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, in a valley separating the Julian Alps from Karavanke range.
          The main tributaries are Savinja, Sutla, Krapina, Lonja, Ilova-Trebež, Orljava, Bosut, Ljubljanica, Krka, Kupa, Una, Vrbas, Ukrina, Bosna, Tinja, Drina, Kolubara.
          It is crossing the following cities: Kranj, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Sisak, Slavonski Brod, Brčko, Sremska Mitrovica, Šabac, Obrenovac, and Belgrade.
