Karachi

Karachi (Sindhi: ڪراچي, Urdu: كراچى‎) is the largest city, main seaport and financial centre of Pakistan, as well as the capital of the province of Sindh, the city also has largest population of the most literate comunity of Pakistan known as Urduspeaking. The city has an estimated population of 21 million people as of April 2012. The city is located in the south of the country, along the coastline meeting the Arabian Sea. It is spread over 3,527 km2 (1,362 sq mi) in area. It is locally known as the "City of Lights" (بتين جو شهر) and "The Bride of the Cities" (عروس البلاد) for its liveliness, and the "City of the Quaid" (شہرِ قائد), having been the birth and burial place of Quaid-e-Azam, the Great Leader, (Muhammad Ali Jinnah), the founder of Pakistan.
The main landmarks are: National Museum of Pakistan (قومی عجائب گھر پاکِستان), PAF Museum (پاک فضائیہ متحف), Pakistan Maritime Museum (پاک بحریہ متحف), Bagh Ibne Qasim ( باغ ابنِ قاسم), Mazar-e-Quaid (مزار قائد), Karachi Zoo (کراچی چڑیاگھ), Hill Park (باغ کوہ), Karachi Safari Park ( کراچی سفاری باغ), Bagh-e-Quaid-e-Azam (باغ قائد اعظم), Karachi Cantonment Railway Station (کراچی چھاونی ریلوے اسٹیشن), National Academy of Performing Arts, Hindu Gymkhana ( ہندو جِمخانہ), Mohatta Palace, National Museum of Pakistan (قومی عجائب گھر پاکِستان), Frere Hall, Empress Market (ایمپریس مارکیٹ), Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Karachi Gymkhana, 3 Talwar, Port Grand Food and Entertainment Complex, Bai Virbaijee Soparivala Parsi High School, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.
