Ho Chi Minh City

               Ho Chi Minh City (Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh), formerly Saigon (Sài Gòn), with the nicknames Paris of the Orient and Pearl of the Far East is the largest city in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City is populated by more than 7,400,000 people. The metropolitan area, which consists of the Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area, Thủ Dầu Một, Dĩ An, Biên Hòa and surrounding towns, is populated by more than 9,000,000 people. 
                The main landmarks are: Ho Chi Minh City Hall (Hôtel de Ville de Saigon, Trụ sở Ủy ban Nhân dân Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh), Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica (Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Saïgon, Vương cung thánh đường Đức Bà Sài Gòn), Saigon Port, Bitexco Financial Tower (Tòa nhà Bitexco Financial), Bến Thành Market (Chợ Bến Thành), Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City (Opėra de Saigon, Nhà hát lớn Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh), Zen Plaza, Saigon Centre, Saigon Tax Trade Centre (Trung Tâm Thương mại Thương xá Tax), Diamond Plaza, Reunification Palace (Dinh Thống Nhất), Hotel Majestic (Khách sạn Majestic Saigon), Ho Chi Minh City Museum (Viện bảo tàng Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh), Museum of Vietnamese History.
