Lake St Clair

             Lake St Clair is a lake in the Central Highlands area of Tasmania, Australia. It forms part of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. It has an area of 1,114 km2 (430 sq mi), and a maximum depth of 200 m, making it Australia's deepest lake.  An 'eco-friendly' resort has been founded at Pumphouse Point at Lake St Clair.
             Lake St Clair is included in Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. The park contains many walking trails, and is where hikes along the well-known Overland Track usually begins. In this park it can be also found Cradle Mountain and Barn Bluff in the northern end, Mount Pelion East, Mount Pelion West, Mount Oakleigh and Mount Ossa in the middle.
